There will be a service break on Puhti starting on Tuesday October 1st at 8:00, and ending at 21:00.

During the service break there will be no access to the system including login nodes, web interface, and storage system.

In the service break a number of important maintenance operations will be carried out, improving reliability and functionality of the system.

This includes upgrades to the storage system, replacing Red Hat Enterprise Linux with RockyLinux 8.10, and other software updates.

In this service break there are no changes that affect the usage of Puhti, and existing applications and scripts should continue to work after the break. The operating system is fully compatitable with Red Hat and no compatibility issues are expected.

Jobs that can finish before the break will execute normally, and any jobs that are queuing when the service break starts will be able to run after it has finished.
