Kaivos

Kaivos is a relational database service hosted by CSC. It is intended for those who want to use MariaDB databases in CSC's computing environment without managing their own database server.

Relational databases are an efficient tool for managing structured data that keeps changing. Data in  relational databases is accessed with queries.

Kaivos database service is always linked to a CSC computing project, and it can only be accessed from our computing servers.

In order to use your own MariaDB databases in Kaivos, you need prior knowledge of SQL command language.

Kaivos is not suitable for storing personal or sensitive data.
