Transport from CSC to Helsinki city center (Radisson Blue Royal, Kamppi)
Finnish-Russian evening at restaurant Saslik ~19. We meet at 18.30 in front of the hotel lobby. Continued free discussions & introduction to Helsinki by Dr. Oula Silvennoinen (History, Univ. of Helsinki). By default we walk from Radisson Blue Royal to Saslik Neitsytpolku 12 (20-30min). Winter jacket, hat and non-slipping shoes are warmly recommended.

Attitude: What we can actually do to improve security? Experience and limitations of commercial cloud providers. How do CSC and SARA differ from those providers? Architecture(s) for serving sensitive data access infrastructure services? How academically offered services differ from commercial offerings? Why this is valuable for the biomedical community?

What are the roles of the user, service provider and funder - each must play their part to ensure sustainability of IaaS. National and European viewpoints. Liabilities and contracts. Operational costs like service staff salaries, "consumables" (electricity, rents), hardware investments/leases
