Research Data Alliance meets in Finland in October 2019

The 14th Research Data Alliance (RDA) Plenary will be organized in Finland. The plenary is held on 23–25 October 2019 at Aalto university Campus in Otaniemi, Espoo. Approximately 500 participants are expected to participate the event.
Research Data Alliance (RDA) is a global bottom-up initiative launched in 2013. It aims for a world where researchers and innovators can openly share data across technologies, disciplines, and countries to address the grand challenges of society.

The biannual Plenary meetings gather scientists and people working with research infrastructures all around the world together to discuss current issues in the field and to achieve RDA's vision. Before the Plenary in Finland RDA will come together in USA in Spring 2019.

CSC coordinates the national RDA node in Finland. The Plenary in Finland is co-hosted by CSC – IT Center for Science, Aalto University, University of Helsinki, Finnish Meteorological Institute and Federation of Finnish Learned Societies.
