Research Infrastructures in Green Transition – View the line-up of speakers and join us online at ICRI2022

 Leveraging international collaboration to address challenges and consolidate common pathways.

This ICRI2022 collocated event discusses challenges and best practices for enabling the green and digital transition for research infrastructures from both the RI and the infrastructure providers’ perspective. 

While showcasing technical advancements and initiatives of high scientific value and social impact, the talks will also dive into operative aspects of IT services and ways of reducing their environmental burden so as to bring forth a moreholistic approach towards green transition and eco-efficiency for research infrastructures. 

The event is part of a series of discussions CSC – IT Center for Science is organising on the green transition theme, aiming to find common pathways towards sustainable operations fit for the future. Dr. Damien Lecarpentier, Business Incubator director at CSC will be opening this event welcoming a series of talks and a panel discussion featuring:  

  • Dr. Nicolaus Hanowski, Head, Mission Management & Ground Segment Department, European Space Agency – Destination Earth initiative
  • Dr. Alain Arnaud, Head of Digital, Mercator Ocean – Digital Twin Ocean initiative
  • Dr. Werner Kutsch, Director General, Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS)
  • Dr. Jenni Kontkanen, Climate Strategist, CSC – IT Center for Science
  • Dr. Fumiyoshi Shoji, Operations and Computer Technologies Division Director, RIKEN Center for Computational Science

The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Per Öster, Director, Business Insights and Growth, CSC – IT Center for Science.
