This course provides a tutorial-style introduction to the essential, practical computational tools for life science research, with a focus on the infrastructure provided by CSC. The topics are divided into three parts: 1) Introduction to R and Bioconductor, 2) Using Taito cluster for high throughput data analysis and 3) RNA-seq data analysis.

The workshop is aimed for people studying or working in the field of life sciences, providing a comprehensive overview on the tools of the trade, without forgetting the important aspect of network building. 

Each of the course days focuses to specific topic and you can register just for specific days if you are not willing to register to all the dates.

Pre-requisites

For Introduction to R and Bioconductor and Using Taito cluster for high throughput data analysis -courses no previous knowledge is required.

For RNA-seq data analysis -course, previous knowledge of Unix and R are required. Introduction to R and Bioconductor and Using Taito cluster for high throughput data analysis provide a good background knowledge for RNA-seq data analysis course.
