This course provides a tutorial-style introduction to the essential, practical computational tools for life science research, with a focus on the infrastructure provided by CSC. The topics will include, e.g.,  managing your datasets, running analyses on a grid or a computer cluster, Unix power use, and basics of R programming. The workshop is a must for graduate students in the field, providing a comprehensive overview on the tools of the trade, without forgetting the important aspect of network building.
