Services for commercial use
You can use many of our services by purchasing them if the terms of free-of-charge use are not met. To purchase CSC’s services and expert support, please contact our Service Desk.
Commercial use for companies
Companies can use CSC’s services for innovation and research. Notably, up to a fifth of the computing capacity of the LUMI supercomputer is intended for product development and innovation in Finnish companies.

Commercial use for academic co-innovation projects
Many of CSC’s services for data management and computing are free-of-charge for academic research, education, and training in Finnish higher education institutions and in state research institutes. Under certain conditions, international researchers or companies collaborating with Finnish higher education institutions or research institutes can also use our services free-of-charge. When projects do not meet the terms of the free-of-charge use policy, a commercial project needs to be opened. For example, if a university is collaborating with a commercial company, and the results of the joint research are not published, a commercial project should be opened that will be invoiced accordingly.

Consulting
CSC also offers consulting in many areas. Our consulting services are billed according to your contract with CSC. Please send an inquiry to CSC Service Desk concerning possible consulting services for your particular use case or project.
