Prerequisites for a CSC Project Manager
As a Project Manager of a CSC Project you should meet the following prerequisites unless otherwise agreed:
The CSC Project Manager must be affiliated with a organisation in the scope of CSC’s free-of-charge policy. The right to act as a CSC Project Manager is demonstrated by Haka-attributes or a Virtu-identity. If the organization does not have a Haka- or Virtu-identity in use, the users’ right to act as a CSC Project Manager is agreed separately between CSC and the home organization. - For research purposes:
Project Manager should be an experienced researcher involved in the project. The Project Manager can also be the project’s technical or administrative support person. - For educational purposes:
Project Manager should be the responsible instructor of the course when it comes to course usage. Project Manager can also be a student when it comes to personal or small group usage related to studies (for example thesis).
Key responsibilities of a CSC Project Manager
- Project Manager is responsible for adding and removing project members, or transferring Project Manager duties to another project member. Project Manager is also a member of the project.
- Project Manager is responsible for monitoring that the resources granted for the Project are used responsibly, according to the Terms of Use.
- Project Manager acts as the primary contact person in communications with CSC.
