Service break on METIS / FMI B2SHARE

Time: Wednesday 25.3.2026 09:00 – Thursday 26.3.2026 18:00 EET

We will be performing an extended service break due to the migration of the external B2HANDLE (PID) service. During the break, you may keep using the service as usual, but new Handle PIDs will not be registered, and the service may be unavailable at times. After the break, the temporary Handles will be registered automatically, and no action is required by the end-users.

During the B2HANDLE migration:

  • DOIs will work as usual, as those are maintained by another provider.
  • New Handle PIDs cannot be registered.
  • Resolution for previously registered Handle PIDs will be unaffected.
  • New files or records uploaded during the break will receive a temporary Handle.
  • New temporary Handle PIDs will not resolve until after the service break, when they will be registered manually.
