Service break on METIS / FMI B2SHARE

Time: Wednesday 10.12.2025 10:00 – Thursday 11.12.2025 18:00 EET

During the service break, the service will be temporarily unavailable, or its functionality may be impaired.

We will be performing the following updates

  • Migration to a new server and upgrade from B2SHARE version 2 to version 3
    • Enhanced functionality and user experience
    • Migration of all existing data (records, communities, roles, schemas)
    • New features, including improved community management and vocabulary integration
    • Better search capabilities, streamlined record creation, and updated OAI-PMH endpoint
  • New custom-developed features
    • Support for multiple licenses
    • Folder support through ZIP files
    • Related identifier direction
    • Multiple contacts on a record
  • Changing features
    • Visualising statistics via B2SHARE UI
    • Ownership transfer

What you need to do

After the upgrade:

  • All users will be prompted to complete a mandatory registration form during their first login.
  • Users must approve the updated service Terms of Use, which clarifies roles and responsibilities.

As a community admin, please review and update your community’s privileges and submission policies to ensure they meet your needs. You can find these settings under: Communities → your_community_name → Settings
