User-friendly analysis software for next generation sequencing data.

Service description

Chipster offers an easy-to-use web interface to over 500 bioinformatics tools for analyzing high-throughput data. It contains also a large collection of reference genomes. Chipster enables non-coding scientists to analyze a variety of data, including spatially resolved transcriptomics (Visium), single-cell and bulk RNA-seq, and microbiome data. The actual analysis jobs run on the server side making use of CSC's computing environment.

Technical information

You can use Chipster server running at CSC in Finland. Alternatively you can set up a Chipster server at your institute. This is free of charge, but you need an IT person to help you and suitable computing resources to run the server.

How to obtain the service

To get access to the service you can use your Haka, Virtu or CSC user account. You can apply for a CSC account and a CSC Project if you have an affiliation to a Finnish research organisation. Use is granted for research or education purposes via MyCSC. The service access also needs to be activated in MyCSC. Commercial users: please contact Chipster Service desk. We also provide training accounts to our Chipster server in Finland.

Chipster service is free of charge for Finnish Academia. For other academic use one year personal single user account costs 500 euros.
