Service description
B2DROP is a user-friendly and trustworthy storage environment which allows users to synchronize their active data across different devices and to easily share this data with peers. The service is intended for the long-tail and still volatile data which can change and are still subject to active research e.g. drafts of research papers. B2DROP Premium offers customized instances for communities and organisations, with customer-specific storage capacity and tailoring possibilities. B2DROP is part of the EUDAT service family and supports identity federation through e.g. B2ACCESS and Haka, and data transfers to B2SHARE services. In addition, CSC provides enhanced support and dedicated user support channels for Premium service customers.
Technical information
The easy-to-use browser interface is used for uploading, sharing, searching, and downloading files, and it does not require any special skills. A basic understanding of data management, and permissions and access control is recommended. Advanced users may benefit from API knowledge, for example, integrations and automation of their data management workflows.

How to obtain the service
EUDAT B2DROP Premium service can be obtained for a research organization or research community only by contract, negotiated with CSC or EUDAT Ltd. For CSC-provided EUDAT B2DROP Premium service, please contact CSC's Service Desk. For EUDAT CDI-provided multi-site or multi-partner solutions, please send a support request through the EUDAT website. Researchers, teachers, and students can inquire about access to the service through their home organization.
EUDAT B2DROP Premium service pricing is negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
