Fairdata Services
Research Data Repository
Integrated services for storing, publishing and sharing research data
Service description
With the Fairdata services, you can store and publish research datasets. They support both small and large datasets, including growing ones. Data can be accessed openly or with restrictions as needed, and selected datasets can be transferred to the Digital Preservation Service for Research Data. Storage space is granted by your home organisation, and published data can be managed by researchers or the organisation. The service can also be used in projects involving multiple organisations. The services include IDA for storage, Qvain for description, and Etsin for discoverability. DOI and URN identifiers ensure long-term accessibility and citability. Provided by CSC in collaboration with universities and state research institutes, organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Technical information
The services have easy-to-use browser interfaces which don't require any special skills. Advanced users have the option to use command line tools and an API, which are recommended for uploading large amounts of data and recurrent transfers.
