Service description
Funet FileSender is a browser-based file sharing service which allows you to easily transfer and share files up to several gigabytes in size. You can share files up to 300 gigabytes in size. Funet FileSender is based on the open-source FileSender application specially developed for higher-education institutions and research communities. This service is not intended for storing files. For storage solutions during your research project look for Allas storage service.
Technical information
All files are deleted after a predetermined period of time. The default storing time is one week, but you can modify it with some limitations. If you need to transfer files larger than 300 GB, please contact the Funet system administrators for assistance.

How to obtain the service
The service requires an active Funet membership. To use the service you must have Haka or Virtu account. To receive files you don't need any account.
The service is included in the Funet membership fee.
