Service description
The CSC Research Data Management Competence Center promotes and supports the skills and competence development of research data management. Aim is to foster Finland´s Open Science and FAIR data management with adequate knowledge and best practices for managing, reusing, sharing and analyzing research data. To enhance the quality, reproducibility, and efficiency of research, the RDM Competence Center coordinates, develops and provides data management training that helps to manage data more effectively throughout the whole research lifecycle.

How to obtain the service
Upcoming courses and other events organized by CSC can be found at CSC´s training calendar. RDM guidelines can also be found in Docs CSC and eLearn platform. Data Support Network is part of the RDM Competence Center. It offers data management experts in research organisations the opportunity to develop their skills and exploit the opportunities for collaboration as a member of the network. Everyone identifying themselves as data support staff is warmly welcome to the network!
The free-of-charge use for CSC’s services and trainings is possible in accordance with CSC's free of charge policies. For more extensive support needs, the service can be offered for a fee. Support requests are sent to CSC Service desk, with the subject “data management”. Our customer service will help you assess the matter.
