Utilizing machine-actionability in data management planning maDMPs

Machine-actionable data management plans (maDMPs) represent a shift from static documentation to living, reusable research infrastructure. By structuring information for machine processing, maDMPs enable the use of AI and data analytics to extract, connect, and reuse up-to-date data management information across systems. This webinar will give presentation on how structured, semantically enriched and integrated maDMPs deliver real value to researchers. With full implementation the maDMP usage will provide benefits for the researchers and their organizations, far beyond meeting funder or organisational requirements defined in the Finnish national reference data model for maDMPs.

Target of the event:

  • Provides description of the national reference model for the machine-actionable data management plans maDMPs
  • Increases understanding of the wide spectrum of use cases on how to utilize the maDMPs for better managed research ecosystem
  • Gives insights to the participant via practical demos how the maDMP is functioning in alternative DMP tools
  • Presents practical tools for promoting open science and FAIR principles

6 * 25 min e.g. ARGOS,  DCC Online open source code, DMPTuuli, DSW, FAIR Wizard, and RDMO.

Participants can familiarise how the tools are used for making a DMP aligned with the maDMP reference data model developed in the project. Demos are given by Finnish research ecosystem experts who have tested the maDMP tools in the Finnish context.
