Noppe

Noppe (formerly Notebooks) is a cloud platform instantly ready for use. It is especially well-suited for teaching and research. Noppe provides easy-to-use environments for programming and working with data. 

Different environments based on Jupyter Notebook, RStudio Server and Apache Spark are available via Noppe. You can access the service via your web browser using a CSC account or your home organisation's Haka or Virtu credentials.

For teachers it is possible to create a teaching environment or produce their own teaching materials. Nothing new needs to be installed on university computers or students' own laptops.

The use of Noppe does not require any prior knowledge on programming or system management.
