Service description

Science and method support helps with all questions related to using CSC's computational services. We support researchers in all fields of science. We have several specialists with a researcher background and hence wide scientific and methodological competences, please see our web pages for details. For example, we'll help you to select the most suitable software and tools, and to use them and supercomputers and cloud services in general as efficiently as possible. In addition to the extensive user guides we offer self learning materials and trainings for using the supercomputing environment and software. We also provide direct support through our Service desk. We also help researchers to apply for large internationally competed computing resources.

Technical information

There are no special skills needed, on the contrary, this is the service to clarify unclear topics. Guidelines are given in CSC docs. If you need support, please contact to our Service desk.

How to obtain the service

CSC's user documentation and a large part of the training materials are available for everyone free of charge in Docs CSC. Support requests are sent to CSC Service desk, which forwards them to the most qualified specialists on that topic to be solved.

CSC Service desk will help you to utilize the service. Primarily the service is free of charge in accordance with CSC's free of charge policies. For more extensive support needs, the service can be offered for a fee. Our customer service will help you assess the matter.
