EOSC Node Finland

EOSC Node Finland is the national initiative for creating a Finnish node for the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The EOSC Finland Pilot Node launched in March 2025, as part of the first thirteen candidate nodes of the EOSC Federation. EOSC Node Finland is facilitated by CSC – IT Center for Science and is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Education.

The overarching goal of EOSC Node Finland is to create a user-centered, integrated and federated service portfolio for Finnish and European researchers, grounded in the DAHA reference architecture, enabling Finnish research excellence in the European Open Science ecosystem. EOSC Node Finland leverages on existing services like federated AAI, fairdata.fi, research.fi, and the Research Data Management Competence Center, alongside the development of Dataset-as-a-Service in collaboration with the LUMI AI Factory. As the EOSC Federation enters production in late 2026, EOSC Node Finland continues to expand its service portfolio with resources from Finland, pilot node-to-node collaborations and cross-node use cases across Europe, and engage Finnish researchers on a new frontier of Open Science.
